Since 2015, VisionCorps has offered subsistence to American warfighters through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Our American-grown rice products are shipped to American military locations around the world. In addition to providing subsistence to warfighters, our rice product lines provide employment for Pennsylvanians who are blind and vision impaired.

Chef Louis' Rice For a Good Cause
VisionCorps has been serving and employing people who are blind and vision impaired since 1926. Our rice is grown domestically in Arkansas, and packaged in our Central Pennsylvania food facility. Our rice line supplies U.S. warfighters with subsistence and supports our employment and rehabilitation programs for people who are blind and vision impaired.
To date, 3,481 tons of rice have been packaged and shipped from our Lebanon, PA facility both domestically and internationally for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) combat support agency in the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).

Chef Louis Rice was named for Louis Braille, the creator of the Braille reading and writing system. Chef Louis embodies our mission to empower people who are blind and vision impaired.
